The Central Land Council has criticised recent comments by shadow Indigenous Minister and NT Senator Jacinta Nampajinpa Price. Ms Price recently featured in a new ad that advocates against a voice to parliament. The Council’s deputy chair Warren Williams said Ms Price’s comments and approach to Indigenous issues was divisive. Mr Williams also invited Ms Price to the council’s next meeting to air her “grievances” with the council, and said it would welcome anyone able to work with them to improve lives of Aboriginal people in communities.

“We have many good men and women who are trying hard to make our communities better places, who are desperate to be heard, and Senator Price’s divisive approach isn’t helping.” CLC Deputy Chair Warren Japanangka Purnpajardu Williams.
