  • The New South Wales Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Ben Franklin says a treaty with First Nations people is “not on the agenda” for the Coalition… but instead, the government was working with communities to deliver $716m towards better outcomes for Aboriginal people.
  • Gooreng Gooreng man from Queensland, Justin Mohamed, has been appointed as Australia’s first official Ambassador for First Nations People. 
  • An investigation is underway into a bus company after a vehicle carrying school students was driven through floodwaters and swept  off a flooded causeway in the Northern Territory’s Top End on Tuesday.
  •  A Mpartnwe/Alice springs based politician says it is not good enough that  up to 200 homes in  his electorate will lose their home  mail delivery service for a temporary period after a veteran postie was attacked while delivering mail.
