Alice Spring’s local Gemma Cowan has won the 2022 WorldSkill Regional competition in Beauty Therapy, the 17 year old stylist and Charles Darwin University student was recognised for beauty therapy and will go on to the National Competition next year.
Gemma Cowan says, “To me [beauty] its very important, I can’t go a night without doing my skincare… I just really like seeing the confidence boost it gives my clients afterwards and how nice they feel.”
