In today’s bulletin:
• The Torres Strait Islander flag was raised on Untyeyetwelye/ANZAC Hill in Alice Springs for the first time yesterday, after a long-running push to acknowledge first nations Australians at the site.
• A code yellow alert has been lifted for royal Darwin hospital and the Palmerston hospital four days after the alerts were declared.
• The life expectancy of Australians has continued to rise, with the country moving up the global rankings to third in the world, but the NT has recorded the lowest of all the states.
