Yipirinya is running a fundraiser at their storefront in the Todd Mall, as a celebration of the schools history and roots in Aboriginal culture and language.
The event co-ordinator, Kirra Voller, who is a music teacher at Yipirinya school, organised the event originally to raise funds for the school and as a way of bringing the community together, but the goal of the fundraiser changed when one of their school teachers houses burned down, Kirra Voller says that the money raised is now going towards getting her back on her feet.
The fundraiser is being held between 5-8pm, Monday to Friday 29th of August to 2nd of September, at the Yipirinya Shopfront, 62 Todd Mall Alice Springs (next to Epilogue Lounge).
