• All four Aboriginal land councils in the Northern Territory have officially supported a nationwide referendum to enshrine a voice for First Nations people in the Constitution.
• Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has confirmed his government won’t hold a referendum to enshrine an Indigenous voice to Parliament in the Constitution until the second half of 2023 at the earliest.
• A Murrajugga elder says a deal with the Western Australian Government meant to protect the culturally sensitive Burrup peninsula has failed to recognise the heritage concerns of traditional owners and should be renegotiated.
