The Yipirinya School based in Alice Springs, will be the first in the Northern Territory, to have an Olympic standard 3×3 basketball court.
Director of Champion League Basketball and CLB 3X3, Yvette Williams, announced today the upcoming construction of the half-court at Yipirinya School, she says that Champion League Basketball have spent the week at the school teaching the kids how to play basketball and that they’ve found incredible talent in the school.
With the recent inclusion of 3×3 Basketball at the Olympics, Lachlan Sharpe, Western Arrernte man and Assistant Teacher at Yipirinya School, says that he hopes that students could go as far as the Olympics.
