The Alice Springs 2022 Beanie festival was filled with vibrant colourful crafts, with the resident expert ‘Beanieologist’ Jo Dixon stating that people have come from all over the world for the event.
A local artist from the remote community of Willowra, Julie Napaljarri Kitson, has been involved in the event since 2013 and says the event is important for teaching both young people and old people new skills.
