Western Arrernte and Anmatjere man and Research Officer for Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Ken Lechleitner is urging men to get vaccinated to protect themselves against COVID-19 as soon as possible
He says that it is inevitable that COVID-19 will be seen in Northern Territory communities, but that it was important to be protected when it does come.
Today an information session at the Ingkintja Male Health Service was held for Congress clients where people would also have an opportunity to walk in and protect themselves.
Mr Leichletner says the better informed the community are on the safety of vaccines, the less harmful the virus will be.
