Victoria has announced a one-week lockdown extension after 20 cases of COVID-19 were recorded overnight, with six of the new cases not in isolation during their infectious period.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says her states  COVID crisis is likely to get worse with 344 new cases and two more deaths recorded.

Flags in all NT correctional facilities were flown at half-mast today  to mark the death of NT Corrections Commissioner Scott McNairn.

The Central Land Council  has called on the NT  Gunner Labor Government  to withdraw amendments which it says  threaten traditional owner rights in jointly managed NT parks and lower  standards for water regulations even further.
