Any crime is a crime too many – but we need to understand how many people are choosing to not participate in the delivery of social services!

The Northern Territory Minister for Indigenous Essential Services, Arrernte man and member for Gwoja Chancey Paech has responded to ongoing issues of anti social behavior across Alice Springs after calls for new strategies to curb crime.

“I am an Aboriginal person from Central Australia, I am in the Northern Territory Government – a large cohort of people in this region are living below the poverty line. We can’t isolate Alice Springs from the wider community of Central Australia we have to look at this as in the position where we are all in this together and we really need to be looking at the future of what justice reinvestment is and what it means.”
