The COVID vaccine rollout in remote communities through the NT continues on at a slow pace, with the Barkly region seeing the lowest fully vaccinated rate in the Territory at just over 30 per cent, according to federal data.

But the federal government are still keen to battle growing hesitancy and low take up of the vaccine, announcing a new campaign directed at First Nations people earlier this week.

CAAMA’s Philippe Perez spoke to the Federal Minister for Indigenous Australians Ken Wyatt regarding the ongoing vaccine rollout (audio below).

He also spoke about issues regarding Indigenous Business Month and the launch of a new National Strategy to prevent child sexual abuse.
