  • A First Nations West Australian Greens Senator has used her first speech in parliament to call for a national inquiry into missing and murdered First Nations Australian women among many other issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • The Territory Gunner Government has given approval for Empire Energy to begin fracking in the Territory. The approval, which was granted on October 17 will allow Imperial Oil and Gas to frack up to seven horizontal wells near the community of Borroloola.
  • Australia has reached a significant COVID 19 vaccination milestone with 70 per cent of Australia’s population aged 16 and over now fully vaccinated.
