  • Greater Darwin and the Katherine have gone into a snap three-day lockdown after a man in his 30’s spent time in the community while infectious with COVID.
  • The snap lockdown in Darwin and Katherine has led to renewed calls from health services for Alice Springs residents to get their COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • NSW recorded 478 cases and seven deaths. Premier Gladys Berejiklian saying the numbers are “disturbingly high”.
  • Growing concern about the spread of COVID-19 to western regions of NSW has local Aboriginal health services on high alert.
  • Victoria announced a two week lockdown extension and tougher restrictions as the state recorded 22 new cases of COVID-19.
