  • Australia will become only the second country after the United States to host the Summer Olympic Games in three different cities…. after Brisbane was officially named the host of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games by the International Olympic Committee in Tokyo.
  • With a record 184,000 covid vaccinations administered across Australia in the 24 hours Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said he is sorry for delays in the COVID-19 vaccine program and announced more pharmacies will be brought into rollout sooner.
  • The murder trial of a NT police officer charged over the death of 19-year-old Kumanjayi Walker in Yuendumu in November 2019.has been formally adjourned indefinitely.
  • In sports news the Matildas have taken a pre-game photo with the Aboriginal flag to open their Olympic campaign gaining global acknowledgement along with their kiwi counterparts who took a knee.
